Busman & Busman was formed in August, 1984 primarily as a commercial and construction litigation firm representing clients in commercial and civil litigation matters before the Circuit and General District Courts in Northern Virginia and the United States District Court for the Eastern District of VA. The firm maintains an active collection practice, representing a variety of clients such as banks, leasing companies, manufacturers and distributors, credit card companies, and other business clients, as well as an active commercial landlord-tenant practice. Mr. Busman continues to present collection law seminars for other attorneys and collection professionals in Fairfax County and other Northern Virginia areas.
Since its inception, the firm has diversified its activities to include a substantial transactional practice including business and commercial settlements, and corporate, commercial and real estate transactions. The firm has had considerable experience representing commercial landlords with respect to the purchase and refinancing of shopping centers and warehouse properties. The firm is general counsel to several local corporate clients, whose legal needs encompass a broad spectrum of litigation and transactional legal services.
